It's Been A Long Time
It has been so long since I have posted anything on my blog but life has been passing us (Toddler G and I) by but we have been holding on by the bullhorns for this ride.
We had a great summer days already. We have been in the park almost everyday...we found a new park at the new YMCA where Toddler G is about to take swimming lessons (well lessons with me to get used to the water and being in the water without a floating device)...there are big girl swings (for ages 2 - 5), sliding boards, cars, turtles, a marble board and even rock climbing. she is loving it and so am I cause I am meeting mothers that have so many stories to tell. Our first day there we meet Laurie, who has a 4 year son that is experiencing life through a learning disability but his father is in denial, and she is having an affair with her high school sweetheart, who she re-connected with at her 25 year reunion...wow what a first day we had but that did not stop us from going back again and again. Toddler G is having a ball and that is all that matters.
We have been making plans to do some fun things this summer, like going to Rye Playland Park for the 4th of July Fireworks, Hersey Park, Keansburg Water Park, Baltimore Inner Harbor for some of the best crab cakes ever and even a trip to Rhode Island to the Nordic Lodge for more seafood including the best lobster. We will still do local things also like on Tuesday's we go to the library for singing with Ms. Pat, on Wednesday's there is Toddler Time with a take home coloring sheet and the pool during the day.
Summer is here and we are going to take advantage of it. What about you...what are your summer plans??

Letter To My Daughter - May 13
My Dearest G-
What a blessing you are and I am overjoyed that God choose me to be your mother. I have been in awe of us since the day you were born and you just keep me in amazement every day. The things that we do, things you say and the situations we find ourselves in.
Over this last month, we have been planning our vacations and I am very excited to show you the world but not too fast that you will grown up too quickly, mommy is selfish right now. We are going to Detroit again this year in the middle of August and then we are going to Aruba at the end of August. They will be great trips for you and you get to enjoy the beach. You have been asking about the so much…I guess all you see on TV has you excited about the sand and the water which gives me pause for concern but with so many eyes on you and the watchful eye of God you will be just fine.
You have been showing me more and more signs that you may be ready for your next steps…school is just around the corner. You can now count to 10, in English & Spanish, and you know your ABCs with minimal help. You ask every morning to do your cards, those Flash Cards Mom Mom brought you were the best idea, and then you want to write. We are still working on your writing but you are determined. You are attracted to everything that you can write with…a pen, a pencil, a marker (washable or NOT), even a straw, yes I know you can see your invisible words. I think it is wonderful that you are excited about learning and I hope that never changes.
We are going to the library two times a week and you are learning how to interact and play with other children and it seems to be a smooth transition. I was a little worried but as always you prove that you are Mommy’s little trooper. As much as you enjoy being home with me you also need to interact with other children so when you do go to school you will be able to adjust without incident. I have been reading a lot about home schooling also but I’m still undecided so in the meantime I will go forward as if school is already a done deal. I will also let you help in this decision by giving you a choice in which you want.
Summer is approaching and this year we have so much to do and I look forward to all we are going to experience together this summer, every year you see and experience more and when I look back on the previous year I laugh at all you have learned. We are in for a ride this year and I cannot wait to share that ride with you.
All My Love,
Mommy

Bedroom Project
I bought a ceiling fan for my bedroom and there were some problems with getting this thing installed.....so when I saw the hole I put in my ceiling I was under pressure wondering what I did trying to do it myself.

But it all worked out good...after about 5 hours of struggling.
Now I will enjoy a cool summer.
Here is my little helper, Toddler G....NOT!!!

What's That In My Wahser?

A pink ball...
Let me think why, maybe because Toddler G saw me doing laundry and decided her ball was dirty since she wrote on it and I can not get the ink off of it...so it needs washing in my washer....NOT!!!

Stories B4 Bed
Toddler G has now been trying to read stories to herself before bedtime. It is hilarious to see her trying to read her books in her bed.
